GOLD VERMEIL CARE
With gold vermeil jewelry (sterling silver with gold plate) its the silver that's causing the reaction. Sterling silver isn't 100% silver, its 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloys. The other alloys, primarily copper, is responsible for the tarnishing reaction. Tarnish can be described as a chemical reaction that happens when silver is exposed to oxygen and sulfur.
Tarnish will accelerate when exposed to water, in high humidity areas, and with people who have a high Ph in their skin. Skin lotions, sunscreen, perfume, hairspray can all also accelerate tarnishing. If you are experiencing an issue with gold vermeil discoloring quickly, please contact our customer support team to further assist you with the issue.
925 SILVER CARE
Silver should always be stored in individually wrapped in acid-free tissue paper, silver cloth, or unbleached cotton and placed in a zip-top plastic bag. Though showering with sterling silver jewelry should not harm the metal, there is a good chance that it could induce tarnishing. Waters that contain chlorine, salts, or harsh chemicals will affect the look of your sterling silver. We encourage our customers to remove your sterling silver before showering. Do not open and close adjustable rings regularly after 1st fit so you don’t soften the metal, it will result to breaking.
14K GOLD CARE
14K gold jewelry won't tarnish or corrode. However, with regular wear, your gold jewelry will eventually accumulate a film of soap, body oils, and even grease. Taking proper care of your fine gold jewelry means maintaining your jewelry when you’re not wearing it and regularly cleaning it to remove regular build up and occasional tarnish. Taking care of your gold jewelry can ensure that it continues to be a point of pride throughout your lifetime. This is our most recommended material option for everyday use including water use.
Is it solid 925 silver?
Yes. Solid as can be. All our jewellery in the 925 collection are 100% sterling silver, designed & handcrafted by us here in Athens, Greece.
The ring is open. Does that mean I can open & close it whenever I want?
Silver 925 is a very soft metal. The opening in the calf of the ring has been designed to make it easier for you to find the ideal fit once you get it, since you can adjust it easily to your perfect size. Once you 1st adjust it to, we recommend you do not open and close it more times since that will result in the ring breaking.
Can I return a product?
You can return your jewellery within 14 days of the date your order was delivered. Please note that all items must be in the original packaging for us to accept your return and proceed with your refund. We do not accept returns or exchanges for custom, personalised or solid gold products as they are made to order.
How do I take care of my jewellery?
Gently clean your silver or vermeil jewellery with a soft polishing cloth. If you don't use your jewellery frequently, keep them dry and stored in the provided dust bag. If your climate is humid, place a small packet of desiccant crystals inside your storage area. Avoid storing them with rubber products. See “Metal care” for more in depth info.
Does the gold persist or fade over time?
If you choose the gold vermeil option, our jewelry is plated of real 14k yellow gold, meaning they will see minimal tarnishing, if any at all.
